Calgary Minor Basketball Association (CMBA) runs this city-wide program for all ages and skill. Evaluations ensure youth end up on teams of similar skill levels (from beginner/new to advanced).
Everyone makes a team and the teams play teams across the city of similar skill levels.
Registration opens May-August. Evaluations for team placement occur in September. Season runs October through February and provincials, for teams that qualify, are early-March.
You must sign-up with the zone based on the community you reside in. Refer to the CMBA or this interactive zone map to find your zone.
Ages 9 through High School

Clubs offer a wide-variety of training and team-based programs. Clubs generally compete against other clubs outside of the community season.
Generally, clubs have tryouts and not everyone is guaranteed to make the team/program.
The main club season is in spring, which runs April-June (tryouts are held in January & February for most clubs).
Check out our club page for a list of the various clubs, programs and pricing (where available).
You can choose any club; there are no boundary restrictions.
